About

I'm Salar Nouri, an Iranian-British filmmaker, and creative director. Throughout my career, I've explored the fascinating intricacies of CG animation and contemporary cinema, embracing diverse roles such as director, screenwriter, producer, animator, and CG artist. In this journey, I've continually strived to sharpen my skills and broaden my creative horizons.

Born in Iran and raised in the UK, I've been shaped by a blend of cultures that has given me a unique lens for storytelling. My studies at esteemed institutions like University College London (UCL) and USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles have refined this perspective. At USC, I had the privilege of studying directing under the Oscar-nominated director Micheal Uno. In my pursuit of a deeper understanding of the synergy between text and performance, I attended my MA at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA).

In 2018, I established Imaginatives, a creative agency focused on producing innovative work for various brands, products, and companies. It's been an honour to work with such a talented team and to produce, direct, and create successful campaigns for our diverse clientele.

In 2020, I took a pivotal step in my career by establishing Nouri Pictures, a London-based film and animation production company. This company is an experimentation studio where to explore CG animation storytelling. In 2022, I unveiled my first animated short film, "Treemen," which allowed me to express my storytelling capabilities in a fresh and exciting format. Through Nouri Pictures, I remain committed to crafting captivating and innovative visual narratives.

In February 2023, I embarked on an exciting new venture, co-founding Illusionaries. Situated in the vibrant heart of London, Illusionaries offers a mesmerizing multisensory art experience. As the Creative Director, I am committed to our mission of captivating audiences with innovative digital art exhibitions, whisking them away on a breathtaking journey that surpasses the traditional limits of art and technology.
